Sale of wholesale multisockets
Errebishop, a leading company in the production and distribution of components for wiring and electrical equipment is also specialized in the sale of wholesale multisockets, multiple sockets and plugs.
Our wholesale of socket strips and plugs includes articles of the highest quality manufactured in compliance with all safety standards.
We have been successfully operating in this sector for more than 20 years and, thanks to the production capacity of our 2 plants, we are able to meet all our customers' needs,
Our experience and qualified work have allowed us to be considered, at present, one of the most important points of reference for the sale of wholesale multisockets, and for the production and distribution of everything concerning electrical material and plugs in general.
What are socket strips
Socket strips are very common accessories and are the ideal solution for multiplying an existing electrical socket into several sockets. This means that from an original electrical socket, a larger number of sockets will be available and it will therefore be possible to operate several electrical devices at the same time.
This is what we are talking about in detail:
Multiple sockets are mobile sockets that have several sockets and, when plugged into a fixed socket, allow several devices to be used at the same time.
Multi-sockets, known as power strips, on the other hand, are very similar to extension cables, but instead of a simple socket, there is a sort of box with a series of sockets, each of which is intended for a different appliance.
Power strips are a must-have item in offices, shops, homes, etc. because there are more and more appliances that need electricity to function, and anyone who needs more than one power strip cannot do without these accessories.
And because they are so widely used and in demand, they are easy to find on the market. Of course, there are various types, which differ according to their intended use: the number of sockets, the length of the cable and the presence of a protection fuse are just some of the elements that differentiate one model from another. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the characteristics and choose the optimal ones to meet your needs.
In addition, as electrical accessories are subject to risks such as overheating or overloading, it is always important to ensure that you use safe sockets, made to all safety standards.
How power strips work
Knowing how multi-outlet sockets work is very simple: their main function, as the word itself suggests, is to multiply a socket, making it the source of electricity for several sockets at the same time.
Very often, in workplaces or during daily operations, we need to use a power strip, but we rarely ask ourselves how they work.
In order to understand how power strips work, it is important to clarify how the electrical current flows through the power strip to an appliance, system or device.
The electrical current circulating through a system, whether it be a domestic or other system, is called "alternating current", and is composed of a flow of electrical charges.
When we plug a plug into a socket, a flow of current also starts to circulate inside the plug, a flow that also extends to the wire and allows a device to function.
This is also the case when you plug in the power strip: the alternating current flows through the cable of the power strip and becomes available to all the accessory sockets included in the power strip. In turn, each accessory outlet can transmit power to the plugs of the devices with which it will be connected.
The use of multi-outlet sockets is simple, but great care must be taken to avoid plugging in multiple adapters or devices that do not meet the current capacity limit. In such cases, overloading and overheating may occur.
Areas of use for multiple sockets
As we have already said, the areas of use of multisockets, multiple sockets and power strips are many and listing them all could be a very difficult task!
In fact, at present, we could say that almost all the environments in which we frequent every day and in which there are devices that work with electricity, are environments in which these elements can be found.
Below is a list of the most common areas of use:
- Domestic environment
In every home, there are more and more appliances and devices that need electricity to operate (or recharge) and it is necessary to multiply the number of sockets.
- Work environment
In offices, shops, banks and facilities of all kinds, there are also a large number of electrical appliances that need to be used at the same time: not having multiple sockets would be unthinkable.
- Entertainment environmentsMost events and exhibitions, especially those involving large audiences, make use of many devices such as big screens, microphones, speakers, etc... Having one or more multi-sockets is essential. Especially for events in facilities where fixed sockets may not be sufficient.
Whatever the area of use of the socket strips, however, it is important to make sure that they are not damaged or of low quality, so as not to run into dangerous situations such as current overloads, short circuits or, in the worst case, fires.
Types of socket strips
There are many different types of power strips on the market, and they vary according to certain characteristics:
- Cable length
It may seem trivial, but the length of the cable (in the case of power strips), which varies from model to model, is an element that should not be underestimated. A power strip with a longer cable allows a more flexible arrangement of the appliances connected to it, while one with a short cable will allow less freedom of placement.
Number of sockets
Socket strips also differ in the number of sockets, which should be evaluated according to the intended use. In any case, it is advisable to associate only one plug to a socket, avoiding the use of additional socket multipliers.
- Types of sockets
Multi-outlet sockets are also classified according to the type of socket with which they are equipped. They are not all the same, in order to meet the different needs of those who buy them. For this reason, it is possible to find multiple sockets with two-way sockets (i.e. sockets with special holes able to accommodate plugs of two different sizes 10 A and 16 A), multiple sockets with Schuko sockets, etc...
- Presence or absence of a power switch Power strips may or may not have a power switch, i.e. a red switch which, when activated, allows the current to reach the socket strip. When the switch is off, the power strip and the appliances connected to it are isolated from the current flow.
